The fourth National PPI Ignite Festival is set to take place from the 1st-31st October! The theme of this year’s festival is Celebrating our History, Embracing our Future. As we celebrate this year’s events taking place, please join us on Tuesday 14th October for a webinar on The Top 10 Priorities in Adults Living with Type 1 Diabetes in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Register here for this event.
This study was carried out through a collaboration involving people living with diabetes, their families, diabetes charities, and healthcare professionals across Ireland and the United Kingdom. It employed the James Lind Alliance (JLA) Priority Setting Partnership (PSP) approach, a method designed to unite patients, caregivers, and clinicians in identifying and ranking the most important unanswered questions in healthcare. By using this approach, the study ensured that the perspectives and experiences of those living with Type 1 diabetes were placed at the heart of determining the key research priorities and care needs.
Everyone is encouraged to get involved in this year’s festival, whether they have lived experience, are academics, or simply wish to be involved in shaping the future of health and social care research in Ireland.
