Type 1 Diabetes Priority Setting Partnership Committee

In 2011 the James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership in Type 1 Diabetes published its list of research priorities that had been identified and agreed by people with Type 1 Diabetes, family members and clinical care teams in the UK.  Since then a considerable amount of research has been done around those priorities and the landscape of diabetes and diabetes care has changed considerably.

We are now undertaking a new or refresh Priority Setting Partnership encompassing both the UK and the Republic of Ireland. This refresh exercise will ask people living with Type 1 diabetes, their carers and family members and clinicians to give their opinions on the most important unanswered questions and research uncertainties in Type 1 diabetes and have their voices heard.

During this refresh Priority Setting Partnership we are guided by a steering group and James Lind Alliance advisor. Our steering group is made up of people with lived experience of Type 1 diabetes, family members of people with diabetes and health care professionals. Working together with members of the diabetes community in Ireland and the UK we aim to improve care and focus research on the most important issues for people living with Type 1 diabetes.
