Tell us a little about yourself? 

I am the Assistant Director for Research Strategy and Partnership at Diabetes UK, where I oversee applications and awards, research communications and the research strategy team. I have been a key member of the charity’s Research Directorate for over 15 years and previously worked for the Wellcome Trust in their Basic Immunology and Infectious Disease Funding Team.

What’s the one thing you wish everyone know about diabetes? 

People underestimate the relentless nature of diabetes and the impact on every aspect of life. I wish this was better understood and consequently a greater focus given to investment in research to improve the lives of people with diabetes.
