Tell us a little about yourself?
I currently work in the civil service and have been diabetic for thirty-four years. I have a strong interest in research and development to assist with life with diabetes. I was diagnosed at three years old and started with syringes and have used almost every meter and technology available. I am currently using a cgm (Continuous Glucose Monitor) and insulin pump and have great control thanks to technology and support from my diabetes team.
What’s the one thing you wish everyone know about diabetes?
It is totally manageable with help from your diabetes team and embracing technology and should not stop anyone from achieving what they want to do.
