Prof. Paddy Gillespie

Paddy Gillespie is Professor of Health Economics and Director of the Health Economics & Policy Analysis Centre (HEPAC) at the J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics. Paddy’s research activity is focused on the application of the techniques of economic evaluation, including trial-based and decision model-based analysis, and econometrics to inform health policy and healthcare practice. The output from this work, which has involved collaboration with colleagues across multiple disciplines, has been published in a range of leading national and international peer-reviewed journals.Paddy is a research affiliate at the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and health economics lead for the Primary Care Clinical Trials Network Ireland (HRB PCCTNI), the Diabetes Collaborative Clinical Trial Network Ireland (HRB DCCT-N-I), and the SFI Research Centre for Medical Devices (CÚRAM)
